Discontinuance
Packeteer is committed to providing the best possible support and will make all reasonable efforts to protect our customer's investments. Periodically, we find it necessary to discontinue products and services as a result of product line updates and changing market demands. Product discontinuance has implications for the availability of technical support and other services. Specifically, PacketCare services may be renewed at any time during the three-year discontinuance period; however, all service contracts must expire no later than the end of life date. Please refer to our Discontinuance Terms and Definitions below and review the support matrix for each product affected. There are three categories in which our discontinuance policies will affect products:
Products that have reached End of Life
These products were discontinued some time ago, and have since then reached the end of support. No hardware or software support is available for these products.
Products that are now End of Sale
These products, although no longer sold by Packeteer, continue to be supported both in hardware and software, depending on the customer’s support contract.
Revisions that we are now no longer shipping
As a result of changes in technology, component availability, documentation, and other availability, Packeteer makes revisions to its product offerings.
